Future Vision is a unique student awards scheme celebrating bright ideas for creating
sustainable communities, innovations and new thinking that have a positive impact
on the places in which people live, work and play.
The competition was open to anyone studying in full time higher education anywhere
in the UK, and included five award categories: Buildings, Open spaces, Play time,
Work life, and Green thinking. There was also an overall winner – the entry that,
in the opinion of the judges, best demonstrated a vision for a sustainable community
fit for the future.
Winners were announced at the prestigious HCA Academy Awards.
Celebrating excellence within the homes and communities sector, this very special
event gave Future Vision winners the chance to present their ideas to over 500 key
figures from the Homes & Communities Agency, central Government, and the public
and private sectors. Prizes included some amazing work experience opportunities
and £1000 cash.
